Welcome everwave to the ESTAINIUM Network!

At the Members Meeting in Blankenburg, we had the privilege to witness the inspiring work of everwave, who has since joined our network. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to offset the waste generated by 40 attendees over 2.5 days—around 200 kg of waste! That’s the equivalent amount of plastic waste being removed from rivers and oceans!

everwave, a Germany-based company, is addressing the global plastic waste crisis with an innovative and holistic approach. Using waste collection boats and drones, they detect, collect, and analyze plastic waste, preventing it from reaching the oceans. Since their founding in 2018, everwave has removed over 1.8 million kilograms of waste from rivers in Europe and Asia.
Germany, as one of Europe’s leading waste producers, also exports large amounts of waste to regions with poor waste management systems, contributing to pollution. Through partnerships, everwave takes responsibility for this waste, implementing impactful collection and recycling strategies.
Their groundbreaking concept of “Plastic Credits” enables companies to offset their plastic footprint by funding waste removal efforts. This not only adds economic value to collected waste but also fosters the idea of waste as a resource, advancing the circular economy.
